If you think the world is a small place, you should think again, especially if you start counting its countries, regions or capitals. Seterra will help you test your knowledge with its vast array of interactive exercises. From regions of a specific country, all the way to countries from around the world, you can see how much you know or find out about places you have never heard of.

Seterra works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. Its modest system requirements allow you to run it even on older hardware. It comes in a 4 MB setup package and installing the application is not a challenging task.

The application's numerous exercises are organized by continents, but you can also find a number of tests related to the whole world. A continent can be selected by clicking its name, on the left side of the interface, or by clicking the continent itself, on a map of the world.

There are different types of exercises to find. A quiz about capitals and identifying flags or countries on a map are a few examples. If you opt for a quiz, Seterra will ask you different questions and you will have to click on the right answer. Identifying flags is done in a similar fashion. The application will tell you to click the flag of a certain country.

The most interesting exercise is to identify countries or regions on a map. You will be instructed to click a certain country. The application will highlight the countries with different colors, depending on your accuracy. If you get it wrong too often, the country will be highlighted automatically with red. When you are done, you receive a percentage for your overall accuracy, as well as the time it took you to complete the test. Furthermore, Seterra will generate lists of high scores for each test.

Pros

Seterra includes a huge number of exercises designed to test and improve your world geography skills. The application's design makes this a fun task for children and adults as well. It comes in numerous languages and it is absolutely free.

Cons

The application focuses more on testing than learning. The only way to learn something is to select the wrong country, flag or answer. Seterra will help anyone learn the countries of the world, their cities or flags and have fun at the same time.
